      Children

Legacy: India Home for Children is presently in phase 1. Phase 1 includes a children's home with up to 20 children. It is located in the heart of Eluru. As we transition into phase 2, we are looking to aquire a parsal of land on the outskirts of the city, where we can build and grow, to meet the needs of even more children, with a goal of helping as many children as possible. Legacy Home for Children provides food, housing, clothing, education and medical care. Many children of the city a forced to quit elementary school to work and help provide for the needs of their families. Many young girls end up in human trafficking. Through the generous support of people like you, our children can concentrate on their education and their goals of higher education, in a caring, Christian home setting.

Eluru, India
Who gets the money?

Eluru is a city and district headquarters of West Godavari district in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, with 64,000 people per square mile (2011).

Unlike some "charities", 100% of donations will go to Legacy: India. 0% of donations will go to local administration. As a public school teacher, I will personally fund my travel expenses, or solicit separate donations to cover travel to and from India. All money donated to Legacy: India will go directly to that ministry, in India.

Legacy: India will account for all funds and this accounting will be available, for scrutiny, to all donors.

One goal of Legacy: India will be to become self-sustaining, through investments in local business and trade.
